Hi all,
Greetings from Jerusalem! My name is Boris, last week I got an MPC1000 + JJ OS1, joined this fine community and started learning my way around.
My first question is related to sampling workflow. Say, I record a bunch of samples, play with them - loop, chop etc. - possibly scraping some during this process. Then, when I'm satisfied, I purge the unused samples, name the good ones and save PROGRAM+SAMPLES. This seems the logical way to me, but I was surprised to find out that after renaming, I have to manually reassign samples to pads. Is there a way to automatically update the program(s) when samples are renamed? Am I doing it wrong, maybe I should name the samples before assigning them to pads? This seems less efficient for workflow, especially since some samples may end up deleted. What is your preferred way of working?
thanks in advance for any tips/advices,
Boris.
