using the MPC as a sound module

hi ,
up to now i been makin my sequences in the MPC and then syncing up to logic and recording all the separate tracks into my soundcard...but i wanted to work with midi in logic instead of audio for this project ,that's still 'gelling' and not really ready to bounce down yet.

so the big question:

where do i set the midi channels for the programs in the mpc's memory? or, is it not possible to use simultaneous programs with their own midi channel? say i got four programs in memory, and i wanna play them on their own channel from my DAW, can i do it? ( on the old mpc2kxl u could have 4 programs play with their own channel)

It's not multi-timbral I'm afraid, you can only control the current track with incoming midi.

if the internal sequencer can access them multitimbrally, (and theres 99 of them!) they aint no reason why we we souldnt be able to access at least 16 at once here in 2008 folks

and another 16 on channel B

yeah I was very disappointed when I found out this was impossible
