When I updated to OS2 I believe, "select-all" in "group-edit" was all of a sudden undone once you hit a pad...while in previous versions of JJOS this wasnt the case.
I thought this was just a little bug and would be taken care of soon! This was a while ago... so today I load up the JJOS1 & JJOS2 updates and guess what..... STILL THE SAME PROBLEM !

This starts to annoy me, as I use the "group-edit" mode to GROUP-EDIT!

Anyone knows what's up with this issue? Are JJ gonna do something about this?

Do you mean the Mute Group settings in Global Program Edit? Well as I'm typing, I got the MPC next to me, running OS2 build 1.12 and the [Whole] function works as supposed, without pads getting unselected after hitting them!

no he's right - its an annoyance for sure, before, and in OS1 [WHOLE] was still intact no matter what pads you touch after [WHOLE] is selected, now any pad touch suddenly and temporarily 'disables' the whole on screen, but a (not so-) simple re-press of [WHOLE] puts it there again.

i cosign the need for the former operation where, - any pad hit - should not disable [WHOLE].

I got a reply from JJ and this is what i got:

Since change of GPE induces many bugs, it is easily impossible.
Since OS1 has few memory domains of OS, change is impossible.
Specification is due to be changed by OS2.
It is due to be changed by Ver1.13 or Ver1.14.

Thank you.

I'm not sure what he means with " Specification is due to be changed by OS2 " anyone?

i downgraded back to OS1 version 4.99 [no letters after] just because it doesn't have the WHOLE deselect bug... i'm not usin OS2, so it really makes no difference other than fixing that bug.

possibly he is getting ready to introduce an overhaul of the underpinnings of OS 2 in terms of how it organizes it's data & memory 'under the hood' in order to make possible some new stuff. things have been quiet for a while in terms of new features so maybe this is what he has been working on. maybe this is to make way for all the midi CC stuff? one can hope! :D

would be cool to assign qlink to "whole coloums" in gpe, so i can change the decay of every sample simeltaeneously or the filter, etc..

i mean it can be done with the data wheel to some usable effect, but i want it set, so i can go do other stuff
