its been a while since i played with the 1000 standalone, and i've got to say im blown away by the progress of the jj os 1 v4.99! i can remember not even being able to record track mutes- now it seems like, in addition to the dual q-link controls, you can also automate the filters, level, pan etc. for each individual pad in any given program.
but im still trying to wrap my head around how/where each parameter can be automated, and how the sliders function in each situation. for example, if i set the qlinks to level and cutoff, respectively, and record the movements from the main screen, it automatically overwrites whatever is on the track for those parameters. but if i go into grid edit> q real, it seems to function almost like a touch/latch fader, meaning that it only overwrites the info already on the track while im moving it. is this correct? and how does the "after" button fit into all this?
also, if i record level adjustments in the mixer page, how does that interact with the level adjustments recorded by a qslider assigned to level? do they cancel out, add/subtract, or does one override the other? or if record tune movements for individual pads in the grid edit > q real page, how do they react to movements made with a slider assigned to the tune of an entire track?
finally, is there anyway to look at only my slider events in the seq edit page? it seems like i can only look at them under the "all events" screen.
basically, if someone could post a rundown of every parameter that can be recorded, what page it can be recorded in, etc. that would be great. nym, im looking at you, haha.
