Accessing Main Screen After mounting USB

I remember a big selling point for the JJ OS was the ability to mount the USB, and still USE your MPC. Has this feature been changed? i asked this question prior to buying a full version, and no one answered. I now own a full version I can mount the hard drive, but I can not go back to the MAIN screen without it unmounting.

Am I smoking too much? Was this my imagination? (No it was not)

no really, with jjs os you can now keep you usb cable plugged in your mpc without getting nasty click-noises (damn you, akai!), but you can't access you mpc-hd or -cf other than staying on 'mount'-screen. and i'm pretty sure you never could...
