just got an mpc1000 over the weekend, any help with the following questions would be welcome - im using jjos right now.

1) when playing samples via the pads i.e. not placing notes in the sequencer, is there a way of getting the samples to loop. i have looked but cannot see how ?

2) i've already got samples that dont seem to fall 'within the 2 bar limit' they are usually short - i know the mpc1000 cannot stretch samples but do any users have suggestions on how to make a sample 'fit' a timescale - can i change the number of bars used before i look so that i can play for say 1 and a half bars before it restarts so im not tied to increments of a bar.

thanks

1. yep, just set the sample to mono, but you will have to re-triger it on the first bar again, the only way to permantly loop is put loop on in the trim screen and hold the pad down for as long as u need.

2. if the sample wont fit the project, make the project fit the sample. I.e use tap tempo while auditioning the sample to get your rough tempo. or just chop the sample up and be done with it.
