I've got a strange bug right now..

it's like there's a ghost in the mpc or some maniac hitting my pads as a possessed..

under the ''pgm'' all samples are flying over the screen in a furious fast tempo
and also the notes under ''drum'', exact the same..

what i tryed to stop this is;
-turn off and on
-usb cabel dissconnect
-power cabel dissconnect
-new JJ OS 2 installed (i had 1.15, now installed 1.16)

but still the same damn shhit :!:

the machine does this on his own, i haven't touch it.
from time till time it takes a break on a12, and it goes further..
also in OS 1
i tryed also different pads now, but the nightmare continues...

can anyone please help me?

hm, it probably doesn't like the music you make...? :)

no sorry, this was a bad joke. i have no idea what it is, sounds like some hardware shit to me.
did you already opened it up? if you did and found nothing i think you gotta turn it in...

yes ive opened it up, i was thinking maybe are the pads/buttons the problem.
but i saw the new pads are allready in there.
anyway some guy from another forum in holland send me some old pads (that did work)
but the problem remains..

The only time I got this behaviour is when I had the midi out/in cables connected tothe computer with FL, I had some funny midi settings which caused the mpc to go whacko by playing the sequence at uneven tempo. I think they were both acting as master and pressing the fruity play button caused sonic meltdown

I had a similar problem when I placed a dodgy RAM chip from an old laptop into the MP?

take the ram out
reinstall the os jj or even akai for testing
reset the mpc
test it without an hd or cf card,
if it doesen t work
take the parts off u opened ,
it seems to be like a short somewhere,
look also if the cable connectins are right fixed in place....
hope it helps...

Hi

Had the same problem on my MPC1000. It was hitting all the pads by itself.

I found this on the forums:
http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=68882&hilit=+screws+pad

Removing one of the screws (the upper right?) that hold the pad bank made the shortcut and the ghost go away.
