MTC MMC MIDI inquerie

I tried searching around the forum a bit because I know this must be somewhere but I cannot find it, anyways...I'm looking into buying a midi interface for my mpc and am wondering if it is possible to use a 2x2 making use of both midi ins and outs on the mpc with a computer...Is it possible to send both MMC and MTC...if so what is the advantage?...if not what form of midi is the best to use with a for tracking or using the mpc as a controller...

u only need a 1x1 interface to get midi in and out. that should be more than sufficient. then u can spend the extra on a soundcard or someshiz

I believe the mpc only sends MMC, it is different with each piece (check manuals) . You can use a 2 x 2 interface but you only need the one for computer.

yea I ended up just getting a midiman midisport 2x2 for like $21 with 4 midi cables so I think I got a pretty good deal....
