Ok I have some questions

Are there any features I will lose by updating to 3.8 JJ OS???

How do I update the OS to JJ once I download the file?? I forgot but I think I put the OS file on my memory card right?

Is it worth getting the free JJ os? Does updating your OS for the 2500 delete everything on the harddrive?

I'd like to know the pros and cons of updating to the JJ os 3.8

Is there anything that doesn't work correctly on the JJ os??? IF U HAVE THE JJ OS the one thats free THEN TELL ME EVERYTHING U KNOW

I just upgraded to the free JJ OS, so far so good. Not too dis-similar to the Akai OS in terms of how it looks. Best new features for me would have to be that chopping samples is far easier than the Akai OS and you get to change global parameters of all pads at once instead of each individual. This alone saves a hell of a lot of time!

Only feature I really miss is the Direct record, but I can live with out it

I just updated my 2500 with the free jj os just out of curiosity and because i wanted to format my CF card with the jj os (apparantly this is better to avoid wrong file messages). You have a few things that look better (like the grid edit) but there i missed the COPY and PASTE buttons. The DELETE button was there but not the other 2 important ones (maybe it is my mistake and i donty see it). Also what i did after installing jj was the restore factory defaults button. But now i have the crappy standard demo files again on the flash memory and i cant find the button to erase that a.load option... Im still into it finding out what is better..

same here, how do i copy and paste on grid edit in the free jjos??? by the way the jj os kicks ass and im using the free one, i cant believe what a crappy job akai did with their OS's, jj blows em out the water and turns the 2500 into a lethal machine
