now with your inst pgms, you can set them to output midi and control both the low pass cutoff of your MPC sounds as well as your VST/module sounds simultaneously...
i love layering mpc multisamples with reason samples. this just makes it even sweeter.

i also hope he can add some more
but far and away this is the most important cc to add.
i'm so happy about 1.18.
while we're talking filter cutoff, let me post my favorite VST filter of all time:

this is a really nice lowpass filter that i will be using in conjunction with jj's new addition.

Frohmage is a multi-band resonant filter. It can offer some unique sounds, from slow and deep filter sweeps to the most savage tones with high resonance setting and heavy distortion.
* Highly resonant low-pass filter.
* Cutoff frequency unit selection : Hz or musical note.
* Up to 15 additional bands, harmonically distributed.
* Delay on each band for unique phaser effects.
* Distortion stage, with two routing schemes.
* Very fine MIDI control (PRN and NPRN sent or recorded by Frohmage are 14-bit accurate).
* Low CPU load.
this is a really nice lowpass filter that i will be using in conjunction with jj's new addition.

For the past 2 to 3 days, JJ's site won't load at all for me. I never seen this happen before.
Anyone else having this problem?

I don't need a proxy. I have my own cable internet. No problems with any other sites.
I even tried Internet Explorer and had no luck.

Wonder why there are two MIDI CCs for Filter Cutoff. The intention of the reason is unbeknownst to me.

definitely. even if he can only implement one fixed midi cc # per parameter on just a few parameters and they only work on the currently active track, that's still plenty useful. i'm sure there is hardware & cpu limitations coming into play here regarding what is possible.

has anyone noticed that the resolution of incoming ccs is lesser than that of qlinks?
EDIT: nevermind, apparently the output CC resolution of my m-audio radium49 is just sh!tty. looks like i won't be recording realtime sweeps with that, just setting offline params.
note: i tested this by running a CC lfo out from Reaper and recording it. great success -very fine resolution. this shows that the low res is not on the MPC-end.

i'm so stoked about this, a damn shame that i can't REALLY put it to use til next week sometime.
it's nice to have CC control over TUNE and now FILTER and RESONANCE.
of the other qlink functions, i really hope to see some midi CC => QLINK NOTE ON implemented.
NOTE ON sample start/sample end
NOTE ON attack
NOTE ON velocity
NOTE ON chop
