When I load a program on my friends' JJ'd1000 the samples have the same effect, filter and everything else settings, but it doesn't sound the same. Frequencies of the samples are gone (probably due to the BP filter, but I had it set to sound good on mine and it should be the same, right?) and all the settings are the same. Why is this? Anyone know? He's over here now so a quick response would be greatly appreciated.

Like I made a beat on my 500, saved as project, opened the project on the 1000jj and it doesn't sound the same. Weird. We can't figure it out.

Thanks

All MPC's are not 100% compatible with one another.

They don't all have the same number of pads.

Nor do they all use the same operating system.

Make your beats in the machine they're going to be tracked out from to avoid compatibility issues.

We worked around the pads. I know how to do that. My B1 is his A13.

I know the OSes are different, but does that mean the BP filters are going to function differently?

Even when I took of the filter, I still couldn't hear certain frequencies of my original sample.

But yeah, I'm finishing it on my 500. I thought it would be somewhat simple to load it up on his 1000. I guess not.
