i used the search command but it didnt bring up nething even close to what im wanting to ask. so sry if this had been brought up before....
i have all the factory set samples on my mpc500, that's all. im using 3 different strings(string 1,2 and 3). i tuned one to -15, another to -7, and another to 0). i want to have the string that is -15 to be played for 4 beats. then i want that sound to completely stop playing so that i can play string 2 that is tuned at -7. BUT, when i tap the 1st string, it will play for 4 beats then, i tap the 2nd string and it will play OVER the 1st string and it sounds just like a bunch of crap!! HOW DO I MAKE A SOUND STOP PLAYING WHEN I WANT IT TO, SO THAT I CAN PLAY ANOTHER SOUND AFTER IT WITHOUT THE TWO SOUNDS PLAYING AT THE SAME TIME?
i tried trimming the 1st string so maybe it would cut off early but it still played through the 2nd string.....
