MIDI control of volume of multiple samples playing

Can I have several samples playing at once, and with a seperate midi controller, lets say four knobs, simultaneously control the volume of all four samples independently? or can i only adjust teh volume of one at a time, and to switch to the next sample i have to go into some mode or a menu or something?

You have to use the Q-Link slider, and you can only adjust the volume of one pad at a time. I don't know about MIDI CC#s controlling sample parameters on the 500, as nobody has ever come good with a spec. sheet. I don't believe you can, though.
