I've just recently started to mess with the EQ, trying to put a low pass filter on a sample and it's just not working right. I can get the higher frequencies to be a little quieter, but I cant seem to get rid of any sound. Anybody have a solution or should I just do the effect before I put it into my MPC?

i too would love to see sum tips on using the eq on the 500, i mostly just use the filters, lp filter works good for me, but not as good as software filters, but all those numbers on the 500 eq can be quite confusing....

agree... for me, i just do everything in software and just sample into the 500... i've found out that once you start using filters and effects from the 500, your notes start to drop out... polyphony issue...

make sure youve got the latest os version... I found the older versions to be buggier that the latest.

Its not really an EQ its a HP-filter, LP-filter and BP-filter, if you mean the one in the program mode that is. OTHERwise the "real" EQ is in the Effect section.
