Do you have the Miniak? How is it? I played with one in Guitar Center and really liked the sound of it. On the fence though, especially since the only you tube video I can find is the same AKAI representative trying as hard as possible to NOT show the sounds and functions of the device.
Anyways, to your question...Wouldn't you run the midi-out on your MPC to the midi-in on your Miniak, then run the audio-outs on your Miniak to the audio-in on your MPC? You'll trigger the sounds on the miniak from your MPC while singing through the gooseneck microphone on the miniak, all while sampling back your MPC?
Sometimes I still laugh out loud about the beat kangz and that time some English dude hacked the Akai marketing website and stole a bunch of pictures of the Ren before it was released.
