I find it strange that you can't pan the metronome though, surely there is a way?! I'm drumming live to "songs" from sequences on the MPC, and some of the parts are long sustained notes that have no pulse to play along to, which makes it pretty difficult without a click. I originally had a laptop that I played along to, but got sick of lugging it around, putting it through hum destroyers etc, so I've re sequenced everything to the MPC, and thought it would be as easy as pie to pan the click... doesn't look as easy as expected!

The click isn't editable audio that resides in ram like your normal samples, it's on the motherboard so maybe you can't have control over it I'm guessing. Just make your own click track, pan and be done.
