Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

I just started using my mpc 500 and am having problems with very low volume coming from the headphone output. I am using a 1/4'' stereo to 1/8'' stereo adapter but the volume is still very low even with the main volume turned all the way up. I am wondering if I need some sort of amplifyer or if there is something wrong with my unit.

Or something else in the machine effects, params, mixer that is affecting the volume.

Thats how its made.
Probably to save on battery power.

More sensitive headphones can help. I have two different pairs that give vastly different volume. And you can crank up your volume with the master compression effect in the effects function.

Beat me to it... though putting master db at 0db can result in bad digital audio distortions much more quickly.

it think on default its set at -6 dB, or maybe even -12 dB, so try messing with those settings...
