MPC 500 With MPD24

Can this be done? Has anyone tried this? How would you program the samples with the mpc and mpd connected via midi?I am thinking about trying this out. Reasons being that sometims in the middle of beat making I tap on a pad and then it freezes...thinking about hooking up an MPD to avoid my MPC crashing and having to start all over. Let me know tips.

that defeats the purpose of the 500 dude. just use the mpd with computer samples then

Might be worth figuring out what is malfunctioning on the MPC and fix it rather than buying an MPD

It does seem somewhat superfluous, but people have done it before.

Use your search function on this board for "MPD" and you should find a few older threads about it.

upgrade your OS to version 1.31. Dont waste money on an MPD when you can fix your MPC.
