Precise Chopping off 500

I have a thing of being precise on how I want my sample to be chopped into. Though it's hard using numbers to actually know what Trim st & End point to go w/ the loop.
It sounds perfect but not perfect, due to the looping pausing for a sleight second then back to the Trim st. Is there any possibilities to figuring this out.
I'm just guessing I suck @chopping at the moment, and that I'd have to get used to deciding what to chop.

Well another thing is changing the 'Now Field' maybe '3.0+' or more, because the sample is 2-3sec. Unless I just have to change the tempo to match the tempo of my sample.

use a audio editing program on ur pc or mac to do ur chops, thats the best way to get precise as you want. until you move up in series ur limited to the chopping abilities the 500 has

Oh yeee so I can just use my MacBook Garage Band 09 and chop up what ever sample (off a song) and then convert it to Wav. file right?

I cant speak for garageband. I use Sound Booth, and basically I take the track, crop the part of the track I want, trim it down and play it in continuous loop-play to make sure it loops the way I want it. then save it in the .wav format

just my 2 cents, but...i've been chopping my samples in sound forge for a while now. since sound forge 8 came out, now im using sf 9. its a great program, especially for chopping and adding in effects/tempo change/tune, etc.

Is SF free or has a demo? willing to check it out. I bought a AudioBox and it came w/ a Audio Interface called Studio One Artist..... and the local dealer I bought it from said I could connect it w/ the Audio Interface, and I'm still waiting on his reply on that. So we'll see if what I bought works w/ chopping and able to send it to the MPC.

*sigh* waiting on a new RAM so I could start making beats....... putting my 8gb CF to no use haha
