HELP... mpc has crashed & can't get past title screen

Are you using the original 16mb memory (do you even have it?), the akai EXM-128 Memory expansion or are you using third party memory?

If you have third party memory, it is entirely possible that it went bad for some reason. If you still have the original 16mb of memory, I'd put that back in and see if you can get it to boot.

It might be worth trying to get ahold of some compatible memory and see if you can get your MPC to operate in a better fashion.

Another thing to try, using rubbing alcohol to clean the leads on the memory/MPC 500 contacts.

I dunno... sounds like a faulty memory board, but that might just be me making a bad assumption.

No i haven't a third party. I using the intern 16mb memory and i have a 128 EXM Expansion board from Mutec.

What do you mean with ".., but that might just be me making a bad assumption." ?
Do you mean , it's hard to find a new (16mb) memory to refresh the old intern memory?

take out ur 128 ram and see if it works,. but be careful not to break anything..

The assumption I was making was that your problem is most likely faulty memory.

If that assumption is bad then you may have another problem that is not related to memory... you may have a problem with the internal flash memory or a problem with your motherboard.

Are you using battery power or are you plugged into the wall?

Are you using the latest version of the OS? If you are able to, it might be worth upgrading to v1.31 and see if that solves your problem.
