MPC 2000xl programs to MPC 500 programs

Is there a way for all my tracks on my MPC2000xl to be able to read on my MPC500 drive or files???? I mean...its the same manufactor that made both of them. Why wouldnt this user friendly for all users??? Please let me know if there is a patch for this?

I've loaded MPC2000 sounds and programs on my MPC500 before without any problems, so it should work fine.

All MPC program and file types are not compatible with one another.

Standards change over time and the machines have too, so its best to check file compatability issues before you buy.

well that sucks ass.....is there a convertability of converting at least the sameples and I can format prgm my self?????....help with this I have major floppys that need converting!!!!!!!!!

I'm already a MPC2kxl-mcd user and now a new mpc500 user.

But I've 3 questions and don't find the answer in the forum:

Can you tell me how looks your mpc2kxl programs when loaded in the mpc500.=>like there is only 12pads, my samples on pads 13 to 16 will be loaded in another bank? unloaded? or the .pgm will not be loaded at all? After few try I can't see my 2kxl .pgm files and can't load the .all, must i convert them through mpcmaid N

Moreover, on akai site it tells: Most parameters of PGM file can be loaded I own a EB16 too with my 2kxl. Are the effect loaded or not if I load my 2xkl CF card in the mpc500?
