Global Program Re-pitching and Filtering

Just got a 500 and was wondering if there is a way to globally re-ptich, filter etc an entire program? Say you've got a series of chops done on a sample passage and trimmed and assigned them to pads. Is there a way to adjust all of their pitches or filter settings at the same time without having to manually do it, pad by pad.

There's no global program edit mode on the mpc 500 unfortunately.

you'll want to make changes to the sample before you chop... unfortunately.

yeah, i figured that. i discovered that if you're in the program mode, you just need to be on the right field (say tune) and press all the pads-one by one-you want to change and repitch them. not exactly fast at this point, but i'm sure i'll get quicker. the other option is for me to load my sample phrase in phatmatik pro and slice and edit the cuts in there before transferring or recording them into mpc. i was hoping for a quick way to do this in the machine itself though. any chance of JJos coming for the 500?

the way i see it, sometimes limitations bring more creativity by having to make decisive decisions of what you really think is going to work for a track.

my words exactly.
this is the reason i got the 500.
i'm doing music and working with computers for something like 16 years now.
and honestly, a million plug-ins and 9234 softsynths and unlimted un-do and
non-destructive working in DAW is all fine, but sometimes it's
just more fun to be in a limited environment, think about what you want to get
and find the best way to achieve it.

and btw. so far i am loving the 500

I love my 500 too but what I was talking about (and makes me mad) is that there's a lot of function that would be really possible & easy to implement ... but nukay left them off just for making you upgrade to more "professional" model.

I'm with you on the limitation thing... I love using gameboys ...sequencing on atari st and squeezing the last kb out the 900 ...but I bought this machine non for it's limitation
