I've been working on this one song lately, and used the "copy sequence" function.

I've added a few elements to the 4th sequence, but it ended up changing the sounds/pattern of the 2nd and 3rd sequence. Only playing partial samples (no mute groups are used in this song). I have not copied over already used tracks.

It's kind of messed up because I have only 7 tracks running (unmuted) at once, only 3 are stacked (layered).

a) Does the polyphony (total count used) pertain to the project or each specific sequence?

b) when tracks are muted, do those tracks still count against polyphony? (I think this is my prob) I've got many tracks with elements in them, but they are muted for other sequences. I'd imagine the answer would be to remove the unused track elements from each sequence, if this is truly my problem.

If somebody could shed light that would be great so I can move forward.

hi there

i guess your problem lies elsewhere.
afaik polyphony is the max number of voices playing at the same time.
it hast nothing to do with the number of tracks or muted tracks or anything.
it's just the fact that no more than 32 voices will be output at the same time.
stereo samples take up 2 voices, delays will also consume voices.
so maybe check the total of your voices that play at the same time.

cheers, hope that helped
