Recording MPC500 playback into Edison (FL Studio)

I'm trying to record MPC500 playback in Edison in FL Studio and would appreciate any suggestions on how to set it up. Can you simply achieve this by connecting the MPC500 to the computer via USB and then do something the MIDI settings? I also have a MIDI to USB cable and a Behringer BCF2000 mixer if that helps, as I've heard you can use something such as a mixer in order to connect it up and get it to work. Thanks in advance

The USB on the MPC500 is only for transfering wav files, no sound or MIDI is transferable through the USB. You'll need to get a MIDI cable and connect that from the 500 to an audio interface like MBox that has MIDI connections to send to your computer. I suggest you read the manual on that, it'll help you out instead of looking like a schmuck on here.
