Using the Mpc 500 as Midi Controller in Reason 5 to trigger

Hi!

I have overall trouble with using the mpc as midicontroller so far. So i have to questions:

1: is it even possible to use the mpc500`s pads via midi out to trigger samples from your mac/pc/mididevice?

2: has anyone tried controlling reasons 5`s Kong with the mpc 500 so far? i want to assign each mpc pad to a pad in kong, and try out some samples and various ways of placement before i upload the samples on the mpc.

Yes the MPC 500 can output MIDI to Reason.

You'll need to set the track to midi, and tell it to output on channel 1-16 (defaults to off).
