I need help with my samples!

Hey guys, I'm a huge noob, got my MCP500 today. I uploaded a sample, it's in wave and everything and it works when I play it from the load menu. But I loaded it to Pad A, A1 and I went to that and tried every single pad in pretty much all of a's pad and I couldn't find my sample...How do I get to it? I know that this is moronically simple but I don't know how to control this thing at all.

By reading what you wrote, you didn't assign the sample to no A1. um k? So, you don't load a sample, you ASSIGN a sample to a pad. Which tells me that you are mega-noobish, true indeed.

When you load a sample, its just that, loading a sample into the MPC. But in Program mode is where you assign the sample to a pad.

Do yourself a favor and read the **** manual. And if you don't, then go here http://www.akaipro.com/mpc500 and get it.

haha yeah I bought it off of craigslist, so I didn't have a manual, thanks alot for the link though! I'll try this out in a second, thanks.

also, when you get your samples loaded onto the pads, you may need to turn on FULL LEVEL so you can hear your samples. this way you wont think your samples arent playing lol
