MPC500 - Basslines 12 Level

hey all im new to the mpc world, ive been reading up on the mpc in the threads on here and in the manual, how ever i cant seem to work out if the 12 level function is used for volume level of the sample only or if i can use the 12 level function to play different notes of the bass sample i have loaded?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Different notes as well. Works great =) when you are in the 12 levels menu you just have to switch to pitch with the jogwheel

im having major issues with some samples not working in my mpc, now there all wav files im sure of that but when i go to preview the sound its just static that i hear. ?

also any one on her use recycle to chop shiz up?? i tryed to export my chops as an akai program file as u can in recycle but when i try to load in mpc it says unknown file

what do you mean? Does the mpc load them? I use recycle too, but i hate to connect the mpc to the computer via usb. The unit must be usb 1 or something... So i sample the recycle chops via audio one by one after i fixed the attack... Decay... Gate and that stuff that sounds like a delay on every sample. If you do a pgm you can`t have different params for different chops right?
