MPC 500 - Inherent noise

I have a MPC 1000 and have now bought an MPC 500 for the move. I noticed that the MPC 500 has an annoying background noise ...a kind of buzz... when battery is on and with earphones to the MPC 500 the problem gets worse. Is that happening to someone? Is that possibly a design-related problem? With my MPC 1000 I don´t have this problem.

Yeah that's battery-related. I'm using Sennheiser HD-25 headphones which are pretty sensitive & when batteries start to run out of juice it'll get worse, but only when nothing is playing. Shouldn't be an issue when/if you're tracking out or listening to your beats.
