Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hi!

i've got following problem - hope you'll be able to help.
I'm importing to my MPC500 a drumtrack saved as a General Midi file (set to midi channel 10).
MPC assigns the notes from the midi file to its pads in some default way.
Is it possible to change this default way of assigning pads to notes?
I'd like to import the C-3 note (kick) to the A2 (as in default mode), but the D-3 note to the A4 pad (not to A6 as in default) and so long.

Of course i can change the imported events in the MPC (but it's kinda time consuming) or change the notes in the midi file before importing it, but maybe there's an easier way?

Thanks in advance for any answers!

Create a blank pgm with the notes arranged in the order you like. Save that blank program and
then load it everytime/anytime you need it (it will then be your template).

ahh this was the workaround ive been looking for with my tr rack, cheers Lampdog.

Is it also then possible to save an autoload folder with said program and then it should load automatically?
