MPC 500 Users

How do you set your sequence to record right when you trigger a pad or hit the record&play(start).

The sequence always has a long delay before recording is enabled. Checked the forum and manual and cant find any info.

Any users know how to fix this, I want my sequences start times to match up better.

Many Thanks

Also is there a way to end the sequence with a stop and not have it loop at a pre-programmed bar amount.

To loop the sequence when you want.
The 500 seems to lack to much.

There is a 4 beat count off when you begin a recording. During this count off, recording isn't enabled. Read page 19 under "Click/Metronome" to adjust it.

As for ending the sequence with a stop... Check out the section titled 'Extending the Sequence Length Automatically' in the manual on page 22.

The 500 does lack a wizard like interface that will guide you through the process. Due to it's small screen, there is some conceptual understanding that has to be done on the users part.

I love my 500 but this is the kind of device that I started on like an ASR10, DX7 and other stuff like that with a minimal interface. I don't in any way feel limited by it. Keep at it, it will make sense eventually.
