Power usage

Just a quick question that I couldn't get an answer to..

When the MPC is running through the power adapter, do I have to take the batteries out in order to save the batteries? Or will it automatically run power through the power adapter. Thanks!

Its best to take out the batteries when you're not using them for any device if you prefer to use the AC adaptor. But the 500 will automatically use the power of the AC if it had a choice.
