Update: Added a poll (you can vote for 3).

Check out the possible colors here (http://www.mpcstuff.com/mpc-500-st500.html)

    yellow
    army green
    bright pink
    clear
    light carolina blue
    white
    bright lime green
    purple
    orange
    blue
    red

I'm aiming for a shocking/stimulating/provocative color like pink, green or purple to psyche me up and get me in the groove for some serious fingerdrumming. The current grey color is a bit boring and not very inspirational. I'll get whichever one gets the most votes here and post a picture of my setup with it.

Or even better, why don't you choose the color that inspires you the most ?

If most people say yellow and you don't like yellow, this thread will be useless.

I don't really know which will be the most inspirational color for me; I just know I want something that is a bit unsettling or jarring to get me into a different frame of mind--even if it's a color I may not like. I'm not doing it to pimp out the 500, it's more of an experiment to see if color can make a difference in the interaction with the tool.

Oddly enough I was also considering purchasing the "Sensitive Thick Fat Pad Set" myself; if not only for the poofiness of jumbo pads, but also for a bit of fun color.

Anyhow, my choice is to get the darker blue for myself. Blue is (at least) my second favorite color, but also dark enough where my greasy fingerprints won't leave obvious, asymmetrical discoloration on the pads. Additionally, I feel like the blue would work okay against the gray plastic knobs and whatnot; I do not see myself really tricking out my MPC500 .. but you never know.

I say go with what makes most sense to you.

I feel you on making it nice, I redid a 2500 and it was
Fun getting to know the insides too ,but I definitely
Know what your saying on makin' it motivatingly
Cool , my casing was pretty scratched up(bought it used) and I had to
Do a internal repair ,I had to check out those fat pads too
and I really couldn't see me putting
Back together a scratched up casing , so I painted it too.
Get the pads they really freshen up your rig, and I say go
With that weird sh!t , why not , right?

That light blue looks dope. Iced-out!!

Making a decision will probably go easy if you customized it and color coordinate the pads last.

Check mine, I got green texts so I copped the green pads. Skin by Styleflip.
