High pitch throughout.

Every time I turn the jog wheel for a parameter, I get a high pitch that's so short its like a quiet beep. This is the weirdest part.

But in record mode I get a high pitched whine only while it is recording, and it does not record into the file with the audio. I can also hear it when previewing a file, or loading and saving.

I can't hear it while triggering samples, and when it is audible; the volume of the whine does not increase with the other audio.

I have read that it is because of batteries, and that it only happens with a low charge, but I can't say that it is that for sure. I have never heard it until tonight, so I am guessing its a sudden ground loop.

I have also tried turning off the back light to no avail. I hope I don't have to return it, because paired with my other gear, I love this thing.

Nope, it's the batteries with low charge.

Just tried it with brand new batteries. It's not that.

I get it when im loading and saving files. I think a lot of electronics will do it. I remember my old gameboy would do it when I had headphones in. Matter of fact I think its headphone related

I took it back to guitar center and got a refund... I'm just going to hunt another one down soon.

Yeah, something is wrong. The only sound I hear is when I access the CF card reader, there's a slight digital squeel, but thats normal and it can only be heard in a silent room. All digital devices makes that sound.

It sucks because even in the short time I've had it, I developed an attachment. Its so much fun to wander around the house tapping out drums. I already miss that little MP
