Imported Loop Problems

Hi, new to the MPC500 and have been trying to import some basic drum loops. When I go to the "Load Sample" screen and preview the loop it plays fine, but once I have assigned it to a pad it plays at a much slower speed (when triggered from the pad itself). Any help would be much appreciated -thanks!!!

Its funny because computers can read anything fine, but how they digest it, is another story.

Yup Lamp pointed out a possible issue. Always keep in mind the specs of your devices. 16bit@44kHz is the 500's daily diet, anything else different and he's gonna get stomachaches and gonna stop to the rest room every 10 minutes, holding you up to where you need to go.

Another issue could be that you are probably reusing a program that has its pitch tuning set low. Check there and make fine tune ups.

Hi thanks for your replies - it seems I was using one of the preset programs ("Sunny_Set" i think) and it had its pitch tuning set low, once I created a new program it worked fine.

Another Q: is a program just a specific set of samples assigned to pads (you can tell that my MPC came without the manual!)?
