MPC 500 not showing up in "my computer" on pc

word!! well make a new folder on ur desktop called mpccfcard and save ur card contents in it. then try reformatting ur cf card…so ur computer recognizes ur cf card when its in the card reader??? but not when u put the mp into usb mode?

If you have a choice of how to format it, maybe FAT32?

But, if he can copy the data off of the card using a card reader on his computer, doesn't that mean that the computer can already read it?

are you going ;mode>load>turn jog wheel to usb???

maybe it needs to be formatted in the mpc and computer…not sure, never had this issue..

You guys was right. It worked. I formatted it and moved everything to the mac.

I started dragging my music back via usb and it was mad slow. I read where someone said 1.0 would be so when I put the card back in the card reader (copies faster) connected to my Mac it doesn't up now. this is azzbackwards.. smh

The good news is at least I know I can update the right way, (via usb). I was going to try using the card reader since I thought I had no choice but can do it the right way now.

I found the problem. I bought this cheap a@! card reader from like a Marshalls or AJ Wright years ago. First time I get a need to use it, sh@! breaks. Pulling the card in and out bent the prongs inside
