if i'm right about the model of screen used on the mpc500, it can easily be replaced with a larger version. i haven't opened my mpc to see yet but it seems like the mpc500 uses a standard 1602 HD44780 lcd screen.
not sure if this is actualy worth doing though, because it will just be the same info on the screen as before
i don't think it will fit inside the mpc500, so i'd have to make an external housing for it, maybe with a hinge!
