chopping on the 500?

im thinking about buying a 500 for portable music making and i was reading a bunch of reviews n shit and alot ppl wrote that u cant chop samples on the 500. this made me confused, do they mean that THEY cant chop on the 500 due to lack of waveform display or do they mean that its not physicly possible to chop at all? coul someone please shed some light on this, i dont mind choping by ear but if u cant chop at all it sux beyond words,

Hit the nail on the head here. It's a sampler so of course it can chop. The number system is hard for people used to waveform display to adapt to. With max RAM you get like 12 minutes sample time.

i love my 500, this is an old video, my 500 is white now. chopping on it is super fun, i like to be outside staring off at the trees while i chop.
