MPC 500 slider busted?

Hello guys, please HELP.
I have an mpc500 and the slider seemns to be busted, i press mode then i asign the pad and move the slider and nothing happens, is there a way to find out if the slider is working? smthing like a software to see if slider sends midi data. Tnx alot

it works just like it says in the manual. if assign it to a pad and set it to use the filter then the results should be pretty obvious if its working.(the values should change in the lcd screen)

Can i control the slider function with another midi slider from my keyboard for example?

MPC parts are really easy to replace. Just a matter of screws and unplugging/plugging.

If you're super savvy in soldering, I'm sure you can find just the fader and solder a new one in.
