Hello,
He uses a RC-505 looper to be able to record "on the fly" and automatically play in loop : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdCed3Fbeys
I'd like to do something similar with the MPC500. It works great when playing with pads :
* Go on Track 1 => PLAY + RECORD => play with the pads and let the loop run
* move to track 2 => play with the pads while the loop is still running
* move to track 3 => ...
* Then use [TRACK MUTE] to mute/unmute tracks
All this is possible without stopping, this is great.
Question : I'd like to do the same but with recording sound from EXTERNAL instruments (INPUT JACK).
Do you see a workflow for which we can let the 4 bars run in loop (without having to stop), record samples from an external instrument, play it in loop, then record another sample, play it in loop, etc.
----
PS: I sold my MPC1000 (OSJJ) a few years ago, and just bought the MPC500 because I needed something portable / battery powered, as I'm often on the road...
