The MPC 500 only has a Left and Right channel, and not eight outputs like the 3000.

What Ricky is doing in that video is essentially assigning different outputs (1-8) on the 3000 to different inputs on his mixer. You cannot really do this with the 500 the way he is doing it.

I'm afraid that the best you could do is pan your samples either hard left or hard right to separate out some of your content, or you'll have to use track mutes and record out different tracks individually.
