just got a 500

well i took my sp404 back to the music store i got it from and got a 500..

the workflow on the 500 is a bit slow, but everything takes time..

anyone got any advice for chopping because everytime that i chop drums i always chop into the wave, when i look at the sample in my 1000....

Advice.....yeah, just keep doing it.....sooner or later you'll get it.Chopping with numbers isn't that hard.
Or since you said you have a 1000, chop everything in there first then transfer it over to the 500 via CF card.

What I used to do back in the S2000 days is tune the sample you're trimming all the way down. Really helps with the fine adjustments.

that tune down trim is a really good trick, esp because it teaches you to listen for certain prenote noise that you might otherwise just trim off. leaving this stuff in lets you record the sample right on a TC increment while still making it sound a little off and human since there's a bit of noise right before.
