sorry it doesn't record track mutes and performs mute automation as far as I know.

But you can copy different mute variations from different tracks on different sequences
and play them from the song mode or next sequence mode.

but say i got 4 sequences and i loop 1-4 but on the 4th i want the drums muted out on the last kick and snare to go into the hook, can that be done and left as automation on the 4th?

then U have to erase the notes manually..

my advice to U is to have:

1 main sequence where U have the complete beat, lets say you have an 4 bar sequence with drums, bassline, melody etc

and whenever U want to make an variation in your song just
copy your main seq to, lets say seq 2.

on seq 2 you can remove parts or add other parts that U just want to have as an variation

whenever You are satisfied with your adds and removes you can just enter song mode and chain the different sequences togheter.

aight? good luck

^^
Dats what i usually do to. Since da mpc2000 doesnt have recordable track mutes. Works out pretty good for me. It would be better if i could record them though. It would save a lil time on my part.
