CF Sound Library

Hi

Im a newbee here, bought my MPC 500 yesterday evening and started it up. Havnt figured out how to change programs though cause the CF card doesnt seems to have anyting on it or maybe its broken. The card does not sow up as a disk on my computer either. The guy in the store said it was full with other SEQ, PRG and sounds.

I have a CF to my camera 2, same size. I thought Id use that instead but I cant find the Sound Library on the www.akaipro.com site. Can anyone point out where I can download these sound? Or mail me them?

Sorry to follow up my own post, but....

I phoned the dealer this morning and he wanted me to bring everything
back so he could check. It turned out that it was not the CF card but the MPC itself that could not read from the CF slot. So I got a new machine
and now Im going to back up the Sound Library at once. So I have a backup.

I read another thread an it seemed like some here are a little bit suspicious about other for just wanting to get hold of the samples

I also followed some instructions from this forum about expanding the memory and flash card. So now Im happy owner to a 500 with 128 MB ram and 2 GB CF.

Yeah, it was me, I confess.

I was just wondering ya know.

At least you cleared your situation up nicely, maybe someone else can read up on your experience and go your route. Maybe it will work for them as well, thanks for sharing, and welcome to the forums.

Welcome kerusan. Every problem I have come across,I've been able to find an answer from someone else who has posted here.I search, read and read.
