How to Record Sounds from Reason/Logic/Cubase to a track?

Been trying to create a sequence and play synths from reason to record onto a track, but i cant get it to work.
ive set up reason midi channels and bus select, ive set the midi channel to receive on the mpc but no sound.

My cables are set up correctly, can anyone advise how to get reason to see the mpc and vice-versa?????

Can someone help?

It's not clear exactly what you are trying to do.

Do you want to use the MPC sequencer to play sounds within Reason, or do you want Reason to play sounds in the MPC, or something else?

So, do you want to send MIDI notes from an MPC500 sequencer track to play the internal sounds within Reason, is that right?

If so, have you checked that the MPC500 track you are using is set to send MIDI messages out on a MIDI channel (from the MPC500 Parameter Map)...


TRACK PARAMS
Accessed by pressing the [PARAMS] button while on the MAIN TRACK page. Track parameters are set for each track independently.

MIDI channel
Determines which midi channel this track will use to send midi data. Default is OFF.

Tr
Selects the track to be edited.

Midi channel
Selects one of the 16 midi channels this track will send information on. When this field is set to OFF, no midi will be sent on this track.
