questions from a newbee

OK, I'm an old guy and I just got this machine, my first MPC. I found computers hard to get my head around for a long time, but this machine is really making my brain hurt. Like many other people on this forum I'm having a heck of time figuring out the whole Save/Load business. I've read all the posts on it but it's still as clear as mud to me. Boy, I really wish someone could lay it all out clearly. It all seems so confusingly put together and not well explained at all in the manual. I'm not quite sure of the heirarchical order of things, projects, folders, files etc. Here's a few other questions I have.

1) What is included in a Project? Is it bigger or smaller than a Folder?

2) Has anyone used Step Edit mode? I went to delete an event and spent a huge amount of time but could never actually find the event. The only event I could find every time was the very first one.

3) when using time correct you can't seem to put the swing to 0% and there doesn't seem to be an option for having no swing.

4) Is there a way to see how much memory is left on the CF card or how much you've used? In one of the posts somebody mentioned saving Entire Memory for every beat he created and someone else said how that would eat up his memory quickly. That's actually what I've been doing because it seemed like the only safe way to save. But I'm wondering how much memory I'm wasting now.

i dunno. i use all "seq&songs" and then also save programs, or all programs, depending on the situation

check the manual, page 41

50% is no swing. that way you can move the notes forward or backwards in time
