Open/Close hat/sample cancelling

I've noticed that in the default programs, the open hi hat sample is cut out when the closed hat sample is played( in the funk kit anyways) is there anyway i could set this up for my own programs?

yes, mute groups/targets.

search in your manual, or just go try set mute groups/targets on the "param" tab in the program menu, and you,l see what happen
