Help loading and playing .wav files on my 500

Does anyone have anyhelp??? I have all these .wav files that are 24/48. I need to load them into the 500 but you have to make them all 16/44.1 first. I found a batch file converter and loaded a program into the mpc. It plays when you hit do it but then when you assign it to a pad nothing plays. I tried everything in the manual but no luck. I really wish this thing was more like the 2000xl. It's driving me nuts. Please help!!!!!

The problem may be the Decay setting in Program mode, it might be set to "strt" and should be on "end".
