Loading programs from a 2000xl???

Has anyone tried loading programs from a 2000xl or anyother MPC into the 500??? I guess bc of the pad arrangement I will have to redo everything...Is there any way to load old programs from another MPC and have them play right on the 500?

Not all the mpc's share the same program paramters so some/most? will loose that param info, and just load the pad assignments ya dig?

Some of the manuals even tell you this.

What I do is basically reprogram my 2KXL PGM to fit the 500, then save as.
Ex. I have Skull Kit on the 2KXL, then I redo it and save as Skull500.
You have to reassign your pads to fit the 500 scheme.
I then save it to a 128Mb transfer CF card, then drop it on the 500 via USB.

but has anyone managed to load samples /.all and .aps into the mpc500 from the mpc2kxl at all?

because I haven't managed to make my mpc500 recognize the mpc2kxl files at all.
