Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

A couple of days ago, however the pads are really unsensitive. I feel as if i have to put it on full level all the time so i don't break it, even after uping the pad sensitivity. Have many of you had similar problems?

Also there are a few things i hope someone could help me with. I have looked in the manual but nothing seems to help with these issues:

1.Can you adjust each track volume differently, if so how?

2.I have a microkorg that i use with my 2500. With the 2500 in the main sequence view when you hit a key you can hear it sound. With the 500 when your in track view and press a key nothing sounds. It will only sound if your in record mode?!?!

3. I have a shure sm58 if i plug this into my 25k it needs no amplification but when i try to record something on the 500 you can barely hear it at all and thats even after messing around with the threshold? Do you need a mixer for this to work, i originally though dynamic mike's didn't need one?

yea, my pads are like that. I've had it for a couple of weeks, and the pads eventually loosen up a little bit. A lot of people hate the 1000 pads, but I actually prefer them.
