Crucial conflict of interest plz help ?

First off how is everyone ? Whats up ? Ok i ve posted this same question twice and got two different responses . I asked how can i export my song or sequence ETC from mpc to pc and put on myspace or Ipod .I believe his name is Simon in Austrailia (very helpful),he said i should use the resampling method . Fine but he also said for that to work i need more RAM or memory ETC because out the box i only have 16 MB need 128 MB fine . Another individual on here said he uses M-Audio Fire Wire and puts his songs on myspace using that . I called guitar center the fire wire cost $199.99 . I scraped up around $220.00 my question is should i buy the Ram 128 mb or the fire wire ? I know with this amount of money i cant afford both (I Wish).Lastley I dont want to buy either or and find out i need something else or should of bought the other one YA'LL FEEL ME ON THIS PLEASE HELP THANKS AND PEACE YA"LL later

If I understand you correctly, you have created a piece of music on the 500 and want to convert it to MP3 or such like, to then be able to upload to sites like MySpace ?

If that is the case, the simplest way of doing this is to connect the Audio Outs of the 500 to the Audio Ins of your computer. Using an audio recording application (a program like Audacity which is freeware will do just fine) set it to record and then hit play on the MPC. Once complete, you can apply processing if necessary and then export to whatever format you wish to use. The resulting file will then be ready for upload to the web.

Resampling directly into the MPC will create a large .wav file which is fine too but remember you have limited RAM on the MPC and might not have enough space to do what you want to do.

If your computer doesn't have suitable audio inputs, then you may well need to consider an external option such as the M-Audio unit, however, Alesis do a much better value range of Audio interfaces that are superb quality and much cheaper.

Extra RAM is good too and I'd always recommend getting it, but if you are on a tight budget, it might have to wait.

Personally, I'd advocate the MPC to computer method I have just described. Your computer should have an audio input of some kind. All you need to do is connect the MPC to it and away you go
